    Installing a Vehicle Charger

Electricity is the backbone of our modern world. Without it, our daily routines would grind to a halt. Now, imagine adding an  electric vehicle to the mix?

How do you make it all work together?

So you bought an electric vehicle,

And now you need to install an electric charger. There are so many things that you needed to consider when going down this road.

    • Panel Size
    • Main Feeders
    • Spare Breaker slots
    • How large is the charger
    • Location
    • Do I have cable access
    • Do I need to upgrade my panel
    • Can my utility support me

But assuming that you made it through the list and have a plan in place, you have to consider what the installation is even going to look like. Not all vehicle charging stations are installed with the same attention to details as others. It’s extremely important to provide a quality and clean installation that your customer will be happy with. And more important is that every day you drive by and see that installation you can say

    "Yah, I did that"

Our client requested the installation of a Tesla Wall Connector Gen 3 for their new vehicle,

To facilitate this installation, we planned and executed an EMT raceway from the electrical panel and installed a new 60-amp double-pole breaker. We relocated the entire system to the front of the garage. To ensure a clean and accessible charging cable exit, our skilled electrician, Mickey, who has extensive experience as a Master and Journeyman Electrician, devised an innovative solution. This solution provides access to the charging cable while simultaneously safeguarding it as it is brought outside for use.
